CORNS
A cone shaped piece of skin that hardens and may become surrounded by a callus. A corn has a nucleus but no nerve or blood supply to it. Found on friction or pressure points on the foot. They can occur in groups and more frequently on the bottom of the foot.
Symptoms:
- Pain from pressure in the area
- May get a callus covering over the corn
- May occur due to a Hammertoe condition
- Soft corns show as a white build up between the toes
